I am someone who has always struggled to describe myself. I've never felt like an artist, but I have always been drawn to art and creative expression. Whether it's playing instruments, drawing, graphic or web design, programming or renovating a garden. I'm always caring for or creating something.
I studied web design and programming formally but a never pursued career with either. I lacked the focus to find a traditional path. While I have kept my love for learning about new creative techniques and technology alive. I tried a few career paths and many odd jobs along the way until I started a job at a bakery.
That's where Peg and I met. We bonded over a love of music, creativity, and the natural world. We quickly became friends, and continued to work together. We have worked on many projects together and found we are a great team.
Over the years we have become best friends. I watched Peg become an incredible painter and artist. As more people saw her work and loved it, it became clear to both of us. We should work together to try to make Peg’s work more public and possibly fund more ambitious projects by selling some pieces along the way.
So we are launching PegTheWall to share the work.
This is just the beginning of exploring our vision for PegTheWall. We will continue adding to the website and we are excited to share more.

Peg.
I am an artist located in Plymouth MA. I started Peg the Wall with my best friend to
share art in our community and connect with others who like art too.
I started painting in 2018. I bought a book entitled “Learn to Paint in Acrylics with 50
Small Paintings” by Mark Daniel Nelson. I did all 50 paintings and started to feel really
confident in wanting to do more, bigger work. I bought another project book that had a
section on how to paint pets and animals, so I tried to paint my dog, Higgins. I loved it.
Painting my goofy black lab put me in a great mood and he quickly became my muse.
As I got more interested in painting techniques, I also started to explore the acrylic
painting world. I bought canvas and stretcher bars and taught myself how to stretch
and prepare raw canvas and treat with gesso. I experimented with how much to sand it,
how many coats to apply, to use paint in the gesso to tint it. I painted on prepared
plywood panels and different types of paper. I tried different types of brushes and would
look for discounted wall paint at local box stores with paint sections and practice using
that, instead of the good art store paint.
Eight years later, I am taking this to the internet. I have shared my paintings with all my
friends and family and want to offer my work outside of that circle. BB and I have
